Founded in Paris in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela, Maison Margiela is a French fashion house. The house has an intellectual approach to deconstructing, reinventing and redefining womenswear and menswear, often blending the masculine and the feminine. In 2014, John Galliano was appointed as the house's creative director. Margiela's approach to the brand's iconic heritage and Galliano's poetic vision of haute couture combine conceptual development with artistic skill, mystery and modern elegance.
